Australian bushfires

The sun swapped out for orange clouds in Auckland yesterday which we’re currently returning to, over 2000km from the fires sweeping across Australia which have claimed lives of humans and animals, destroyed homes and cannot be ignored. We have to help in any way we can, there are plenty of places you can donate towards from charities to the firefighters, and animal welfare organisations - they’re collectively facing $50 million a day in damages and loss. Anything will help.

Over 11.3 million acres of land has been destroyed, that’s over four times the amount recently in the Amazon. 18 confirmed human deaths with more missing, and an unfathomable 480,000,000 animals that have died. 480 million. If you looked at a field with 30 cows in it, you’d have to multiply that field 16,000,000 times to represent the amount of animals that have been killed. That’s Wembley stadium at a full capacity of 90,000 multiplied by 5,333 times. Whether plant based or not that’s an absolutely terrifying figure. The fires are visible from space, the scale is very tough to comprehend. The widespread donations of so many people and celebrities giving what they can has been inspiring in helping a country in crisis. More is needed 🙏🏼 please help if you can.
